Join us from May through October as we dive deeper into the ebb and flow of God’s creation through seasonal eating, never lacking in the goodness and richness that He has created for us through working the earth.
We only grow what we like to eat. If you find a new-to-you veggie or leafy green in your box, chances are that we have a recipe for you to add it to a good-tasting, hearty meal.
The Elm Farm Box is a weekly box brimming with in-season, local, beyond-organic veggies, berries, herbs, and the occasional surprise. Each box is created for you at our family-owned farm in Marshfield, MO.
Variety: Each box will have a wide array of vegetables, but the focus will always be on staples we can all use to make nutritious, home-cooked meals for our families.
A Spring box may contain a sampling of baby mixed greens, beets, bok choy, herbs and green garlic. A mid-Summer box may contain okra, carrots, zucchini, green beans, peppers and tomatoes. A Fall box would have a combination of both, with pumpkins and red bell peppers.
Quality: Everything grown here on the farm is beyond organic, meaning we don’t even use the chemicals and fertilizers approved for “certified organic” farming. We grow everything straight from heirloom seeds, a portion of which were saved right here in the garden the year before.
Quantity: Each of the 20 boxes will vary slightly due to the nature of seasonal eating. We strive for consistency each week, so there will always be plenty of produce to create up to 4 meals for a family of 4.
This comes out to about 8-12 different veggies per box, with boxes weighing more in the summer (tomatoes and peppers) and less in the spring (peas and spinach).
Recipes: Included with each selection of vegetables will be a recipe and additional ideas on how to store, prepare, and preserve your harvest.
Frequency: Boxes will be available weekly for 20 weeks, mid-May through mid-October for a total of 20 boxes. We take a week break twice throughout the growing season. You will be notified several weeks in advance.

There is a $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve your box.
After the deposit, there is a weekly charge of $20 to ensure your box is filled with fresh veggies every week from mid-May through mid-October.
Pick up: Boxes will be available for pick up here at the Farm in Marshfield on Thursday from 3-7pm.
Can’t make it out to the farm in Marshfield? Consider hosting a pick up location in Springfield or Lebanon. (Minimum 5 families required for a pick up location.)

When do we start?
Boxes will be ready for pick up mid-May 2025.
Add-ons: Free range chicken, duck + goose eggs available to add on to your box subscription at $3.50/doz for chicken and duck and $1/egg for goose.
Freshly baked sourdough loaves are available upon request at $6/loaf. Seasonal jams and spreads will be available at $8/half pint. Dried herbs and spice blends will be offered as harvests allow at $8/jar.
